Question(1) ( 10 marks)

Question(2) ( 10 marks)
( A ) Write the scientific expression which refers to each of the following statments: 1- Aregion of space around the nucleus in which the electron most probable exists
2- Number refers to the electric charge (positive or negative) that the atom would have in a compound , be it ionic or covalent
3- The process of heating iron ore strongly in the air to expel humidity and to increase the percent of iron in the ore
4- Eqal volumes of gases under the same conditions of temperature and pressure contain equal number of molecules
5- The amount of change in the concentration of the reactants per unit time
(B) 1- Methane gas is considered one of the principal compounds in organic chemistry . Write equation for the preparation of methane gas in lab. And draw the apparatus used.
2- Illustrate with balanced symbolic equations how to obtain chloroform from methane (mention the conditions of the reaction)
(C) Write the equilibrium constant equation Kc for the following reaction at its equilibrium state 4NH3 + 3O2 2N2 + 6H2O (g) (g) (g) (g)
Question(3) ( 10 marks) ( A ) The most important ore of sodium is rock salt ,the electrolysis of the aqueous solution of rock salt produce sodium hydroxide
1- How to use a solution of sodium hydroxide to detect iron (Fe3+) cation and copper cation(Cu2+)? Illustrate your answer with balanced symbolic equations
2- Calculate the molar concentration for sodium hydroxide solution which is produced from dissolved 6 gm. of sodium hydroxide in water to form a solution its volume is 150 milliliter Given that ( Na = 23 , O = 16 , H = 1)
(B) Illustrate by symbolic balanced chemical equations: 1- The reaction product of carbolic acid and sodium hydroxide
2- Hydrolysis of ethyl acetate ester in presence of sodium hydroxide and heating
3- Obtaining sodium carbonate industrially from concentrated solution of sodium chloride
( C) Explain the following statement: Sodium carbonate solution has a basic effect on litmus
Question(4) ( 10 marks) (A) Mention the name of scientist who reached to :
1- The hexagonal cyclic shape of benzene in which single and double bonds are exchanged
2- The principle that states that the determination of both location and velocity of an electron at the same time is practically imposibily
3- The relationship between the degree of dissociation and the concentration of a solution by mole/liter
(B) 1- What is the number of hydrogen atoms in the alkane which contains three carbon atoms ? what is the percentage of carbon in this compound ? ( H=1 , C = 12)
2- What is the common name for the following compounds: a) Acetyl slysilic acid b) 2,4,6 trinitro phenol
(C) Aluminium is electrically extracted from bauxite .Illustrate the following by balanced chemical equatio:
1- The oxidation reaction at anode
2- The reduction reaction at cathode
3- The total reaction
4- Recation of evolved oxygen at the carbon electrode
(C) The oxides of active alkali metals are prepared by dissolving the metal in liquefied ammonia gas then adding the calculated amount of oxygen How many moles of oxygen is required to be added to potassium dissolved in ammonia to obtain one mole of oxide
